The Peruvian government imposed a curfew at night in Bataz province, killing 13 kidnapped mines last week.
President Dina Polwariti also ordered the suspension of mining activities for a month, while the police and additional soldiers are deployed in the area.
The narrower accident highlights the activities of criminal gangs in Bataz.
La Poderosa, the Peruvian company that owns the gold mine in which the men worked, said they were kidnapped by “illegal miners who collude with criminals” on April 26. Their bodies were found on Sunday.
President Poliest said that the armed forces will bear “full control of the La Poderosa mining area.”
La Bodrosa said in a statement that in total, 39 people were killed with ties to the company by criminal gangs in Bataz, a mining area of more than 800 km (500 miles) to the north of the capital, Lima.
He added that the state of emergency that was in effect in the province since February 2024 had no significant impact.
The statement said on May 2: “The spiral of uncontrolled violence in Bataz occurs despite the declaration of a state of emergency and the presence of a large police squad, which, unfortunately, was unable to stop the deterioration of security conditions in the region.”
The 13 men who found their bodies were employed on Sunday by the subcontractor, R&R, who worked in the La Poderosa mine.
They were sent to confront a group that attacked and operated the mine, but they were ambushed and seized as they were trying to regain control.
The videos shared by their kidnappers showed that they were connected and naked, lying on the mine column.
The footage, and the fact that their kidnappers with the relatives, caused an attempt to carry them to pay the ransom money, anger in Peru.
The discovery of their bodies on Sunday and criminal evidence indicates that they were fired empty more than a week before they were found, causing more shock.
Louis Guillermo Bruz, the prosecutor of the region, Louis Guirmo Pearsas, said the region was shaking a “war to dig mining” between miners and illegal criminals on the one hand and legal miners on the other hand.
