The creators of Supernatural have one regret about the polarizing series’ finale

the “Supernatural” ending It continues to polarize fans, partly due to the decision to kill off Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) while he and his brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) hunt vampires. After facing (and defeating) Lucifer, God, Leviathan, and other apocalyptic threats, it was ordinary vampires who sent Big Brother Winchester to heaven—literally. The series ends with the brothers reunited in the afterlife after Sam has lived a long life, but the show makers would have wrapped up Supernatural Season 15 differently if they had the choice.

While talking to tvensidesshowrunner Andrew Dabb revealed a plan to reunite Sam and Dean with some of their fallen comrades in Heaven, which would have allowed the series to bring back some blasts from the past. As he said to him:

“We kind of went through that process, and what we wanted to do in the end was send Sam and Dean, once they got to heaven, to the Roadhouse and have as many people there as we could, and we would literally go up to a bunch of people and go, ‘It’s not very much money because there’s a lot of people, but here’s a plane ticket, come with us, party with this thing.’”

Unfortunately, this option was not possible when it came time to film the finale. With that in mind, let’s find out why Sam and Dean can’t reunite with their old friends in the world of the dead.

Some fans do not consider the ending to be one of the best Best Supernatural episodes.but seeing Sam and Dean hanging out with their old friends in the afterlife could have made for a more poignant, emotional, and feel-good sendoff. For a while, it looked like that finale was on the cards and ready to go off without a hitch — but then coronavirus happened, making it impossible to have multiple actors in the same room. “I think we had a beautiful moment with the brothers together, and that’s always been the show. So, to go back to that moment and end in that moment, even though it wasn’t what we planned, I thought it still worked really well. And I thought (director Robert Singer) shot it really well, and the guys played it really well. And I thought the ending that we had was great, but it definitely changed because of the pandemic.”

Some things are not meant to happen, but consider the following: If a day comes when the “supernatural” is revived or received Another spin-off featuring the same threadsSam and Dean will undoubtedly return from the dead (and not for the first time either). This would allow the show’s creators to kill them off again and potentially treat fans with a dream ending – or another non-polarizing ending.
