The Pakistan Cricket Council (PCB) called for removing the referee on the match and Andy Pycroft, accusing him of ignoring the ICC Code and the spirit of cricket guidelines that encourage respect and fair play in this field.

The controversy escalated more when former Pakistan leader Mohamed Hafiz exploded the Indian side. Havez claimed that the entire event was previously planned and hit the Indian team to bring policy and emotions to the game.
