The government supported a third runway building at Heathrow Airport, where Reeves described the axis as “the heart of the UK’s openness as a country.”

“I can confirm today that this government supports a third runway in Heathrow and calls for the proposals that will be submitted by summer. We will then fully evaluate through the airport’s national policy statement.”

Reeves insisted that a third runway is compatible with the goal of the legitimate net government that is 2050, pointing to a “cleaner and more green flight” through the growth of “sustainable aviation fuel”.

Sustainable aviation fuel is much more expensive than jet fuel and is currently available in small quantities only.

The airport will only try to build a third runway with full support from the government.

Reeves said that the government will want to make sure that any plan of expansion in Heathrow is “valuable for money”, and that the road transport and railway transportation is funded through special financing, and that the third runway is being delivered “in line with legal, environmental and climatic goals.”
