There is a hunt that includes dozens of police officers and a current helicopter for an unknown number of suspects who managed to escape.
French media reported that violence may be linked to the delivery of drugs related to drugs.
The authorities opened an investigation into the killing and tried to kill.
At approximately 04:30 (02:30 GMT) on Sunday, the bride, 27, and the groom, 25, was leaving the wedding ceremony in the village hall when the unknown attackers opened the fire, according to reports of the news agency.
Initial reports indicated that one of the attackers was operated by the couple’s car, but the Public Prosecutor of Avignon Florence Galtier referred to Supect as “on the stock exchange.”
The prosecutor said that the surviving attackers, who arrived in the car, fled on foot after the shooting.
The police say that a total of 28 people came in the hall at the time of the attack. A woman was lightly injured in the accident.
Local Mayor Didier Perilo said that the hall was seized in March “to attend a wedding by people who do not live in the municipality.”
“I am angry,” he added. “We are close to the cities, and I will not call them, where unfortunately, we have seen this kind of things before.”
Gomain Mullenas, a 50 -year -old restaurant owner, said he feared the deadly attack will give the village, which includes about 1,000 residents, a “bad name”.
“The last major accident in the village was 125 years ago,” it was quoted by AFP as saying.
