The most important part of any heat balance test is accuracy. We burden these standards when collecting entries for the best list, which are the most scientific among tests. We use a medical heat scale as our basis line to ensure accuracy and test the meat probe contrast to that temperature.

Handic water test

The heat scale resolution test usually includes the use of a cup and some ice and water cubes. Due to the nature of the water, it can be liquid and hard at 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 ° C) so that we can reach this temperature reliably. By filling a long cup with ice cubes and adding water – cold water so that the ice does not melt – you can reduce the water temperature to 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Then we insert both the medical grade probe and the meat probe that we test and move it until the medical thermometer reads 32 degrees Fahrenheit. When this happens, we record the temperature reading of the meat probe that we test to know the contrast, if any.

Why not use heat?

You may think that the use of heat will be more logical. After all, these are sensors for meat barbecue, so the high temperature is more important, right? Unfortunately, the heat depends on many factors, such as height and pressure, which we cannot always control. The water freezing point is always the same, wherever you are, so we can ensure accuracy regardless of the site.
