I am not strange to underwear, the period and other “alternative” period products (where in the menstrual Cup fans?), So I jumped to the opportunity to write this guide. When you are in your menstrual cycle, staying dry and comfortable is the highest priorities, so you judged each pair of these underwear through that lens.
I first tested all the underwear to fit, to determine whether it is real in size. This often included a lot of their experience, and wearing them under the pants to see how large or small, and if you can see the inner dress lines.
After that, I tested the absorption to see if it is up to the level of claims. Since it will take more than a year to test each of them during my cycle in my cycle, I have developed an easily repeated method in a home laboratory (also called the kitchen).
I washed every pair of underwear according to the designation and dried air. You will need to wash your internal cycle before you wear it for the first time to remove any starch or other chemicals used in the manufacturing process. Air drying is important to maintain the absorption of underwear – it can leave the fabric axis or dryer sheets in a movie that does not allow passing.
After that, for each pair, I examined the number of fluids that it can carry and convert it into millimeters. This is not accurate because there are some differences in the plugin through brands, but in general, one can carry a regular plug. 5 ml of liquid.
Slowly, I poured this amount of water over the underwear clown to see how quickly it is absorbed and if any water is leaked. I left them for 30 minutes and then examined to see how dried them after the water absorbed. Some were exactly wet as the test began, and others were sufficiently dry to continue to wear it comfortably.
I will warn that this is not an ideal test. Usually the menstrual fluid leaves your body slowly over a few hours, although some people suffer from a short crocodile throughout the day. Some of the underwear that I tested did not absorb the amount of water completely and/or leaked, but this does not mean that they will not work for your role. If your flow is fixed over one day, the underwear will have the time for time to absorb it slowly, which will reduce the leaks.
If you pass multiple clots during the menstrual cycle or try to flow/frequent floods, you may fight the internal period to absorb fluid and make you feel dehydrated.
