To be honest, we’ve had plenty of old tennis balls that Molly found in the gutter, but the ChuckIt Ultra balls do a much better job of withstanding her efforts to tear them to shreds. They’re also leak-proof, don’t pick up as much mud in the first place, and are easy to wash. The only downside is that they tend to disappear into dog parks. –Stephen Shankland
If you have an active dog that loves to chase balls (like my Lab), the ChuckIt is a must-have for your games of fetch. You’ll never have to bend down to pick up or touch a leaky ball. This piece of inexpensive molded plastic catches the ball for you and allows you to “throw” it over and over with a flick of your wrist. –– Connie Guglielmo
My pup will play fetch until the cows come home, so this launcher makes it very easy to endure long sessions. Not only is it great for those of us with below-average throwing skills, but it also means less bending to grab the ball. Every time I reach for the Chuckit Launcher, my pup is so excited! –-Lexi Savvides

When you have a dog that requires near-constant attention, you will do anything to keep him occupied for a few minutes. I use this puzzle game for that. There are three rotating trays where you can hide treats, making your dog work to get his reward. My pup has to use his snout to rotate the trays to reveal the compartments, and I hope that keeps his mind sharp as he has to solve problems to get all the treats. I have the 2nd edition (medium) and would buy it again in a heartbeat. –-Sarah Mitroff

This toy is durable and covers all the things that can keep your dog entertained forever. Inside there is a rope and a few squeakers to attract and keep their attention, and they usually end up being the toy my dog cuddles with. –-Theodore Legance

Banjo gets anxious when left alone, but like most Labs, he’s anxious very Food driven. Mochi, our little man, is just an avid chewer. If he didn’t have something to chew on, he would start poking holes in our living room carpet. So when I know I’m going to be away for a few hours, I pull out the Kong. I stuff them with mozzarella cheese or peanut butter (or both), and my dogs stay happy and busy the entire time I’m away. –– Desiree DiNunzio
My dog is a beast when it comes to toys and he is almost destroyed all One toy we gave her within a day or two. That was until we met the Kong Extreme line of dog toys, which worked perfectly for her and kept her entertained. We can use them as a reward by filling them with peanut butter when they are feeling good for the day. There are a few different shapes and sizes of them, and she seems to enjoy them all! –-Jared DeBain

Most stuffed toys are no match for my dog, Junebug, who tears them to shreds within minutes. This Fluff and Tuff Ball takes weeks to untwist. Hence, she’s obsessed with it and carries it with her everywhere (even though it’s too big for her tiny body – which is a nice bonus). She remains true to it even after she has become nothing more than a sad, tattered, and hollow shell. Eventually, I throw it away and buy her a new one and the cycle starts all over again. She’s playing her third beach ball in about a year! Well worth the money. –-Kim Wong Shing

My dogs love two things (besides humans): food and toys. This puzzle mixes the two for endless fun. I received this dog treat puzzle as a gift, after months of rolling up old towels and t-shirts to make mentally stimulating toys for my Chihuahua mix. Now, I use it when I don’t have the opportunity to take my dog for a long evening walk.
All the moving plastic parts make it look complicated, but it’s actually easy to assemble. Simply hide your choice of candy or food in the hidden cubes, cover it with the plastic door, push the slider to keep the door closed and that’s it. I’ve found it to be a great indoor option for my dog to burn off some energy and test her brain as well. –-Alexandra Garrett

Our pup Alistair has been obsessed with his Dogobie flying disc for as long as he has been with us, around 14 years. Made of flexible silicone, the disc is largely indestructible and is as easy for me to throw away as it is for me to retrieve, and easy to find in the brush after an errant throw, thanks to its neon colors. Alistair has been getting older for years, but he still gets excited anytime he sees his dog, the dog, out to play. If only he had brought her back with as much enthusiasm as he had when he chased her. –-Jim Hoffman
