The mysterious white particles that washed on a small section of the coast of Valencian in southeast Spain pushed the authorities to close a handful of beaches on Monday as a preventive measure.
The local administration at Guardamar de la Safor, in the village area of South Valencia, said in a Social media yet At least four beaches in the region will remain closed due to “possible maritime spill that affects our region, with an unknown substance in the sand.”
The administration initially urged people not to swim until the material is determined and any risks that it represented was determined, but in a later post it said the beaches would be closed.

The affected area is more than 250 miles south of Barcelona, but it is located north of some of the most popular tourist destinations in Valencia on the picturesque Costa Blanca.
Valencia Plaza stated that environmental samples, both water and unknown material, have been collected to analyze from different points along the affected coastal line.
