The Chilean authorities arrested Ethan Qah, 19, after he presented a false flight plan, according to the American CBS News partner in the BBC.
In a statement, the General Chilean Directorate of Civil Aviation said that his deviation from that plan was “stimulating alert protocols.”

He was charged with violating two articles of the country’s aviation law, including an article that could lead to short -term prison.
In the statement, the Chilean Civil Aviation General Directorate said that Mr. Qah has also violated the Antarctica Treaty, which regulates international relations with regard to the unmanned continent.
Mr. GUO posted an update on X on Wednesday, saying: “I’m alive to everyone, I will update soon.”
Ethan Qah transported his plane in Cesana to all the other six continents on his journey that extends for more than 140 days, according to his taste on social media.
He hopes to become the first pilot to complete individual flights on all seven continents in the Sena plane, and at one time it aims to raise one million dollars (731,000 pounds) for cancer research at St. Jude Hospital for Child Research.
