A 20 -year -old American pilot was released. Detention in Antarctica After more than two months.
Ethan Quh, from TenisiAnd, who was hoping to collect a million dollars to fight cancer with his journey, was arrested in June after Cesana landed 182Q in Antarctica without permission, the Chilean authorities claimed, claiming that he had provided “the wrong flight data”.
When he came back Punta Arinas, ChileOn Saturday, on a marine ship, he met the press while wearing a shirt in the Chilean National Football Team, describing his arrest as “worldly” and “limited freedoms”.
“The Chilean people were incredibly hidden, they were great people,” he told reporters. “They took care of me. They taught me Spanish, and they treated me like the family.”

The authorities said he was only authorized to fly over Punta Arenas in southern Chile, but he continued to fly south towards Antarctica.
His lawyer, Jaime Burintos, told the Associated Press that he had to transfer him due to bad weather, claiming that the Chilean authorities gave him permission to land on the Antarctic continent.

“He was surprised, when he was about to return to Arenas Punta, he was arrested, in an operation that was completely exaggerated.”

The charges against Qouh were dropped last month, and on Saturday he was released to the mainland.
He is asked to donate tens of thousands of dollars he collected to a charity for cancer within 30 days and cannot return to Chile for three years. He should leave the country as soon as possible.
