A 20 -year -old American pilot was released. Detention in Antarctica After more than two months.

The authorities said he was only authorized to fly over Punta Arenas in southern Chile, but he continued to fly south towards Antarctica.

His lawyer, Jaime Burintos, told the Associated Press that he had to transfer him due to bad weather, claiming that the Chilean authorities gave him permission to land on the Antarctic continent.

The charges against Qouh were dropped last month, and on Saturday he was released to the mainland.

He is asked to donate tens of thousands of dollars he collected to a charity for cancer within 30 days and cannot return to Chile for three years. He should leave the country as soon as possible.
