Tesla denied reports that it had contacted employment companies to launch the search for an alternative to Eileon Musk as CEO.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that the board of directors of the Electricity Company started looking for a successor to Mr. Musk last month.
This was because of the frustration about Mr. Musk’s focus on his job in the administration of US President Donald Trump and the price of Tesla drowning.
However, in a statement on Thursday, Tesla said that the report was “completely false” while Mr. Musk wrote on his social media platform that the paper was “distorting a reputation in the press.”
Tesla Robin Dunholm Chair Books on x: “There was a media report wrongly that the Tesla Council had contacted employment companies to start searching the CEO of the company.”
“This is completely wrong (it has been connected to the media before the report was published).”
“The CEO of Tesla is Elon Musk and the Council is very confident in its ability to continue implementing the upcoming exciting growth plan,” she added.
This denial comes after the Board of Directors wrote that Mr. Musk had told him by the Council that he needs to spend more time in Tesla and that he needs to say this publicly.
The paper said that Mr. Musk did not retract the proposal.
Last week, Mr. Musk said at a phone conference on profits, “I will customize more of my time to Tesla,” and pledged to reduce his governmental role greatly.
Writing on x on ThursdayMr. Musk was strongly criticizing Wall Street Journal.
He said: “It is a very bad breach of ethics that WSJ will publish a deliberate false article and fail to include an unambiguous denial by Tesla Board.”
Later he republished a comment from the X -called “Trash” paper.
Protests and provinces
The leadership of Mr. Musk attracted a newly created advisory body to Trump – the Ministry of Governmental efficiency (DOGE) – a lot of criticism.
Some Tesla agents say they are He no longer feels loyal to the brand Because of Mr. Musk’s controversial political views and actions during the responsibility for Dog.
Some pledged to boycott the company while others organized protests against it because of Mr. Musk – in some cases caused criminal damage to merchants.
Meanwhile, investors and analysts said that Mr. Musk’s reputation and his feelings of high -level levels are part of the reason that Tesla is struggling financially.
In March, Trump told – with Mr. Musk to his side – correspondents in the White House gardens, anyone who uses violence against Tesla “passes with hell”.
Then he pledged to buy the Red SS, one of the number of Teslas on the White House engine that day, to support the electric car company.
“I wear a lot of hats”
Usually, the temporary government employees, such as Mr. Musk, are usually limited to work 130 days a year and who, if they are calculated from the day of Trump’s inauguration, will end in late May.
But it is unclear when Mr. Musk, who contributed more than a quarter of a billion dollars to completely re -election Trump.
Trump said last month that he would keep Mr. Musk, “as long as you can keep him.”
On Wednesday, Mr. Musk, who also runs Spacex, shed light on the idea that he was doing a lot of jobs.
In a video posted on X at the White House cabinet meeting, he was wearing two basements.
“They say I wear a lot of hats,” Mr. Musk said in the video. “That’s right. Even my hat has a hat.”
Bloomberg reported that Mr. Musk also said on Wednesday that Dog should examine the spending of the US Central Bank, the Federal Reserve, especially the cost of renewing its headquarters.
Mr. Musk made similar comments before, which raised the idea that the Federal Reserve should be reviewed. However, such a move will ask questions about the independence of the bank.
