Nearly 600,000 people participated in the country’s protests throughout France on Thursday, according to the CGT Federation, in response to the call to strike from the opposition labor unions proposed in the budget of next year. The French Ministry of the Interior has given a lower estimate, as it reached about 195,000 demonstrators, including 24,000 in Paris.
