Harper Murray expressed her feelings after receiving a major honor from the Big Ten, playfully saying that Tate McRae’s concert may have boosted her performance. Murray attended the screening at CHI Health Center in Omaha on October 9, 2025.

The win was Nebraska’s 16th straight win of the season. Shortly after the presentation at Holloway Gymnasium in West Lafayette, Murray was honored as the Big Ten’s Player of the Week. “It was great. Harper Murray has been making waves on the volleyball court since her freshman year at Nebraska. The outside hitter is currently majoring in business and law, and has also gained a reputation as one of the most popular college athletes, with a massive following on social media. She often shares her travel stories, lifestyle and other off-field moments on her social media platforms.

In an interview during the NCAA Tournament, Murray expressed her desire for people to see her as more than just a player volleyball player.

“What I want people to understand is that people live lives outside of their sports,” Murray said. “And I feel like that’s something that I’ve been able to incorporate into my social media. That was one of my goals because I feel like when they see that, they can understand that I’m human too and that volleyball isn’t my whole life. It’s like there’s more to me than that.” (start 0:22)

Harper Murray recently signed a nothing deal with global brand Adidas. Her accomplishment was recognized by her college, where the Love Library of Nebraska displayed a photo of her wearing Adidas gear.
