Share some of the strategies that you tried to keep in our lives after our journey.

Hello friends! How are you? How was the weekend? I hope you have a great one! We celebrated Nana, the pilot was at home from a journey, and we taught Barry’s row, and I met a friend for lunch. We also got some seasonal wind rain, which is always a small treatment.

To publish today, I wanted to chat a little about our journey, my perspective since our return, and some strategies that I tried to preserve. As you know, comrades, we love to travel. I feel it is the most imposed way for us to spend the money that we have earned – on experiments – and it gives us an opportunity to stay away from hustle and enjoy time as a family (or as a couple). It always gives me a perspective and helps me to remember what is actually nourishing my energy and joy … and not.

While we were in Spain, we were able to spend our time and enjoy honestly every day. I really tried to keep some of the things that I loved a lot about our journey (as you know, along with epic monuments, culture, food …) and put them in a small list. It is not really a “vacation status” forever, but rather what the journey reminded me more than others.

Strategies that I want to keep after our journey

1. Walk as much as possible

We walked miles daily, not even attempts, and we felt the natural and fresh movement – not forced. Although it’s a little more difficult here, I am still trying to re -create this a little at home with tracks after dinner, walking during meetings, and walking when the rain cools a little.

It is funny because Toxon is not a walking city. Everything is far away, it is a million degrees, and if you are out of walking, most people will assume that your car has collapsed, unless you are in a neighborhood or a walking path. It is definitely the peak of summer, so I was using the LI walking pillow throughout the day. In Spain, I easily hit 20,000 steps per day, and I should be intended to strike 10,000 here.

2. Cook from scratch (and choose the places that do the same)

We felt the food we felt nurtured and deliberate, whether it was made in Airbnb, by friends (our friend Tony makes the Carlada epic) or by a chef in a comfortable local place. Although I don’t think we need to eat great meals all the time, the quality and freshness of the ingredients talks about folders. I have found that since we were at home, there are only a few restaurants that you feel worth the cost for me. I prefer to buy good ingredients and cook at home, instead of paying 100-200 to have a modest meal for four of us.

3. Keep the simple meals

I also remembered that meals do not need 18 components or 3 sauces to be satisfactory. A piece of grilled fish, some roasted vegetables, and a spray of olive oil and lemon: perfection. Since our journey was on the longest side, I managed to cook in Airbnb, but I also did not want to buy a lot of ingredients and ingredients. Our meals were very simple, new, and sick.

4. Stay awake and sleep in (season)

It was really magic to embrace summer nights: children late, spontaneous gelato running, and morning light overlooks windows while a spiral ball is still in bed. It is not a routine forever, but it is a fun reminding of bending the rules sometimes. The academic year is very rigid and scheduled (it must be), so it seemed to be an epic treatment to stay awake until midnight or 1 am at most nights and the start of the day at approximately 9:30.

5. Slow meals with a good company

Return meals for two hours, whether dinner is on the yard with friends, or only four of us at the dining room table. I liked the meals not to be transferred, which enables you to enjoy food and the company much more. I find that you are more hunger, so you eat less. I was trying to slow some aspects of life a little.

6. Give new adventure priorities with girls

Even at home: new gardens, new recipes, small daily trips, or just allow them to help me plan something “new”. I always remind me of the magic extent of seeing the world through their eyes. Also, what they say is true: they grow up so quickly. The things they used to enjoy are no longer exciting anymore, so it was fun to explore what they are and they have some new adventures together.

7. If you take a break … nothing collapses

This is great. Together, we all carry a huge mental and emotional load, especially like mothers. We remember who runs out in mysterious circumstances of socks, the components we need to capture for dinner, and we ask for a gift for the Christmas party this week, and a child has a date for the dentist tomorrow, along with the final dates and household chores. It was refreshing to back down from a step … and nothing broken. Blog, Inbox, Home Business; They were all waiting when we went back, and it was fine.

When both girls were children, I was still three times a day and could not imagine taking off for more than a short weekend. I ended up taking about six weeks of work, for the first time ever, nothing broken.

I am preparing my content in advance and only took customers and customer email messages while we are far away. It was a huge gift, and it gave me a new intervention and energy to return to the second things we went back to. Although I don’t think I will take six weeks again anytime, it is a good reminder that you can get away a little and things will be fine.

8. Customize time for art, music and culture

Whether it is a museum, live music, or listening to a symphony on Spotify while eating dinner, it adds richness to daily life. You don’t have to be in another country to bring beauty to your day. I try to make an effort to book theatrical tickets, enjoy the outdoor music, visit the museum, and bring a little culture and joy in our lives.

9. Society Care

One of the most beautiful things in Spain is the community environment. Our friends go to an international school in Seville, and parents meet frequently. They are constantly enjoying a drink or taps together while children leave and play, and planning meals, daily trips, and other materials. We are lucky that there is an incredible society here in Toxon, so it was a good reminder to continue to care for the important relationships for us.

10. I wear clothes for the day

Europeans have a way to appear for this day carefully. Although it is completely placed (I will never leave it fully), wearing their clothes feel comfortable. I definitely feel more focused and productive when I am in real clothes * instead of sweating and covering. 😉
