Steve Schirripa stars in a mob-inspired commercial for FreshPet

Steve Schirripa from “The sopranoPartnered with FreshPet on a mob-inspired commercial starring the actor. Schirripa played the ill-fated character Bobby Baccalieri in the HBO drama.

“I have a dog named Willie Boy who has been eating FreshPet for the past two years,” he said. “They sent me the script over and over again, and after playing the detective for the past nine years, it was fun to get back into the old ‘Sopranos’ mode.”

He added: “I thought it was a really smart, smart, funny commercial.”

Steve Schirripa also shared an old clip from “The Sopranos” on Instagram on December 23. The clip shows Paulie (played by Tony Sirico) telling Bobby that he had to play Santa Claus for the neighborhood kids. “Last Christmas” by Strike! Playing in the background.

Schirripa also told the outlet that he loves his dog, Willieboy, “unconditionally” as much as he loves his two children. “I have two daughters, and it’s amazing that you can have feelings for an animal,” he said. “He’s like part of my family.”

The “Blue Blood” actor played Detective Anthony Abbettimarco on the police drama for nine seasons before it ended earlier this month, and Schirripa shared photos with his fans on Instagram after bringing Willieboy to the set.

“We all planned the wedding together.
