Stephen A. Smith and Shannon Sharp fire on their ESPN colleagues after comments made about ‘First Take’

Stephen A. Smith And Shannon Sharp doesn’t want to hear the “first shot” come out of the mouths of two of her ESPN colleagues.

Both Smith and Sharpe addressed comments made by Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler during their meeting College Football Playoff It airs on the Monday edition of the popular sports debate programme.

While Smith was more polished in his response, Sharpe made it clear that he doesn’t care how many heads ESPN has to go through if he hears shots thrown on “First Take” again.

“I’ll be a good teammate,” Sharpe told Smith. “I’ll let it go. Everybody at ESPN. Because if you hadn’t gone the route I did, you would have fired them up. If we’re going to be on the same team, if we’re going to be on the same network, don’t do it.”

“Kirk, Chris Fowler, I promise you, if I mention any platform I’m talking about again,” I wonder what they’ll say as a negative, “I promise you, ESPN doesn’t have enough bosses to take me away from what I’m about to say, don’t play with me.”

Comments from Herbstreit and Fowler were about Ohio State Buckeyes Head football coach Ryan Day, as Smith accused them of distorting his statements in calling for the coach’s firing.

“Whoa,” Smith said to the camera during his speech on the subject. “‘The first strike should get him fired,’ that’s not true. I did it! Not ‘the first strike.'” That was me, Stephen A. Don’t misquote me, “This guy Ryan Day, if he doesn’t get a national championship, he should go even with a 66-10 record.” I didn’t stutter even a little, and I don’t stutter now.”

Herbstreit and Fowler were on the hook as the Buckeyes defeated the Tennessee Volunteers to move on to the next round of the playoffs.

While Day was leading the team to a dominant victory, Herbstreit brought up the “crazy side” felt at Ohio State, which came by firing at Day after losing for the fourth straight year to Michigan in their rivalry game.

Herbstreit then moved the conversation to “Shot One.”

“First Take tried to fire him,” Herbstreit was heard saying. “They thought he was finished. So, I’ll be excited to see what they talk about on Monday after that performance. They ruled him out. They’re trying to find replacements. But here he is. He’s still wearing his hat.” He is still coaching.”

At the time, Herbstreit’s comments were interesting, to say the least, considering he was talking about a show within his own network.

But, as they had done in the past with others they summoned, Smith and Sharpe responded quickly, even if it meant alerting their colleagues.
