Sir Kerr Starmer rejected a request to meet Bangladesh’s leader during a visit to London with the aim of raising support for the efforts to recover billions of dollars removed by the Sheikh Al -Hasina regime.

The temporary leader Mohamed Yunus told the Financial Times that the United Kingdom must feel “morally” forced to help the new government in Bangladesh to track “stolen” funds by the previous regime, and many of them are now claiming in the United Kingdom.

However, Yunus said that Starmer has not yet agreed to meet him.

“I have no direct conversation with him,” Yunus said, although he added that “no doubt” will support Starmer’s efforts.

“This is the stolen money,” he said about the wrong money.

UK government officials have confirmed that there is no plan for STARMER to meet Yunus at the present time, and they refused to comment more.

While Yunus said that the UK government was already providing assistance in finding money, he said that the UK should feel “legally and ethically” binding on the help of Bangladesh in its recovery. He said that the goal of the trip is to highlight “more enthusiastic support” than the United Kingdom.

Younis, Nobel Prize -winning economist, has presided over a temporary government since the protest movement led by students to Sheikh Hasina toppled last August.

Sometimes Bangladesh’s investigations into the financial affairs of Sheikh Hasina and Awami Association sometimes threatened to reflect the UK Labor Party in Starmer.

In January, Tulip Siddiq, then the Minister of Anti -Corruption and a close ally of Starmer, was forced to decline after she was flooded in allegations of corruption. They were associated with its recipient financial support, including property, of numbers associated with the Awami Association.

Sheikh Hasina is the aunt of a friend. My friend denied any violations, but he resigned from her ministerial status.

My friend, who is still a deputy, asked for Yunus in a message sent this week. She said that she wanted to remove the “misunderstanding” of the Anti -Corruption Committee in Bangladesh.

Yunus said he will not meet you.

“This is a legal issue … a legal process,” he said about investigations into a friend’s affairs. “She is not a person involved in me.”

Younis, during the 16 -year -old Sheikh Husaynah’s rule, has transformed “her authority into an opportunity to seize money” for some relatives and associates.

He said that there is a “great looting.”

The Bangladesh authorities estimate that about 234 billion dollars were diluted while Sheikh Hasina was in power and the United Kingdom was a major destination for “stolen” money.

Yunus Canada, Singapore, the Caribbean and the Middle East are appointed as other destinations for the assets that they alleged to have changed.

He said that the trip to the United Kingdom was “just the beginning” and was planning for more visits. He added that his administration was looking to obtain support from “all directions” in the United Kingdom, including companies, financial institutions, police and all intelligence agencies.

“We need support from the people of the Great Britain,” he said.

They said that his team was still hoping to meet the Prime Minister.

The National Crime Agency was obtained in the United Kingdom last month Freezing orders On two properties in London, which was owned by Ibn Halal by Sheikh Hasina.
