SpaceX will attempt the 11th flight test of the Starship vehicle on Monday

SpaceX is preparing for the 11th flight test of its massive Starship rocket, which will launch from Starbase in Texas early Monday. The launch window will open on October 13 at 7:15 PM ET. You will be able to watch live 30 minutes before boarding SpaceX Location and on X.

The company aims to conduct another payload demonstration for Flight 11, again using eight Starlink simulators. For this flight, SpaceX is using a previously launched super-heavy booster, with 24 of the 33 flight-proven Raptor engines. The goals this time include “flight experiments that collect data for the next generation of Super Heavy boosters, stress testing the Starship’s heat shield, and demonstrating maneuvers that simulate the final approach of the upper stage for a future return to the launch site.”

SpaceX won’t try to do that Catch Super Heavy in “Chopsticks” Return to the launch site this time. The booster vehicle is instead expected to end up in the Gulf of Mexico, while the Starship will land in the Indian Ocean.
