The authorities in South Sudan highlight the state of mental health in the country. Only last month, 12 suicide cases were reported in Juba in one week. Clinics that provide mental health support is rare and at risk of closing. In 2022, eight centers were opened in the country with the aim of serving more than 20,000 people for the first time. However, with funding from Italy and Greece whose validity ends, their future is uncertain.
