Smriti Mandhana, vice-captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team, has been crowned the Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year 2024. This comes after she delivered magical performances with the bat for her team in the matches she played.

Smriti Mandhana looked to excel in the 2024 ODIs and it is fair to say that she was the most deserving candidate to win the award. This was due to the performance she put in, and she was one of the most consistent batsmen in the 50-over format from last year.

Smriti Mandhana played 12 ODI matches for India in 2024 and was exceptional with the bat as she scored 747 runs at an average of 57.56 and a strike rate of 95.15. The left-hander also slammed four centuries in the year and broke several records.
