The German technology company said on Monday that Zurich (Reuters) -Siemens employed Amazon Executive Vasi Philomin with its new position for the head of data and artificial intelligence.
This step is the latest step by Siemens as it seeks to develop artificial intelligence products and applications such as industrial Copilot.
Siemens aims to accelerate its transition to a company that focuses on technology, where artificial intelligence is seen as a major field along with industrial programs.
In 2023, Siemens revealed a partnership with Microsoft to use artificial intelligence to increase productivity and cooperation between man and machine in manufacturing, transport and health care industries.
The project will create Copilots Amnesty International to assist employees in customer companies while designing new products, and organizing production and maintenance.
Siemens said it was a pleasure to welcome Philomin, who had extensive experience in automatic learning and AI applications in Amazon.
Philomin will submit a report to a member of the Board of Directors of Siemens Peter Koerte, the company’s chief technology official and chief strategy official.
“Through his distinguished experience of artificial intelligence and his standing leadership in developing transformational technologies, he will provide a decisive contribution to expanding our data and capabilities of artificial intelligence,” said Courty.
