Well, this did not go well. After carrying two hours after Gemini declared intelligence after stopping Advertising in Google I/OI waited for one hour in the press hall to get a chance to try either a pair of Android XR smart glasses or Samsung’s MOOHAN Mixed Reality. Obviously, I went to smart XR glasses to find out how to compare them Orion concept of $ 10,000 from Meta and Google Glass Before that. Is Android Xr the Holy Grand Speed Speed that we are waiting for over a decade? Unfortunately, Google just allowed me to try it for 90 Seconds.
I promised five minutes with the initial model of Android XR headphones and had only three minutes, half of which the product delegate spends how smart glasses worked. In ninety seconds, I was told to click on the right side of the glasses to summon Gemini. An icon appeared in the form of a star of artificial intelligence in the right lens (this pair of Android XR glasses was just one small transparent screen) just below the central point. He received instructions to speak with Gemini. I turned and looked at a painting on the wall and asked her what I was looking for, who drew it, and asked for the art style. Gemini answered with confidence. I have no idea if the answers are correct. I looked at a book shelf and asked Gemini to tell me the names of books – and I did so. Then the actor used a phone associated with glasses to download Google Maps. Tell me to look at my feet, and I saw a small part of the map; I looked back, and there was Gemini navigation in turn.

Then the door in the wooden box with a 10 x 10 feet length I was opening it, and I was told that I have finished. The whole rush has been incredibly, frankly, I barely got a feeling of Gemini. Artificial intelligence has been constantly spoken of the actor while explaining the Android XR illustration. I’m not sure if it is a false activation, a mistake or what. When I asked about the painting and books, I didn’t need to continue to eavesdrop on the side of the glasses – the shadow of Gemini listens and switches the gears. This part was elegant.
Compared to Meta’s Orion Smart glasses – which is also the concept of the initial model at this stage – do not compare Android XR glasses. You can see more and do more with Orion and through wavelength lenses with silicone carbide. Orion runs many apps apps such as Instagram and Facebook Messenger, and even has “3D” games like a Bong Knockoff that you can play another person who wears his wife from the AR glasses. For the latest Snapchat “AR”, its super narrow field, I say that the initial Android XR and the unique display may be really better. If you are going to get less powerful devices, tend to have its strength (its power).
As for smart glasses themselves – they felt like any pair of thick sunglasses, and they felt relatively light. They slipped a little bit, but this is just because I have a flat and broader Asian nose. They did not seem to slip from the nose of my friend and attachment, Karissa Bell. (I am just kidding; I love Karissa.) There was no way for me to check the battery life in 90 seconds.
This is my first impression on the first pair of Android XR smart glasses. It is not much, but not something either. Part of me wonder why Google chose hell to limit the experimental time like this. My sense of Spidey tells me that it may not be far as I am in the main trial display I/O. What I saw seems to be a better version of Google Glass, definitely, as the screen resembles a super high screen in the middle of the right lens instead of your right eye on the glass. But with just 90 seconds, there is no way for me to form a fixed opinion. I need to see a lot, and what I saw was not even a shrapnel from shrapnel. Google, I got my number – lied to me!
