In a new video from Vanity Fair, executive producer Ben Stiller, who also directed the season premiere “Hello, Ms. Cobel,” and star Scott, goes behind the scenes of the frenetic sequence. It took four to five months to complete and involved more special effects and logistical maneuvers than that to cut Usually requires.

It involved a huge piece of camera equipment called a ‘bolt arm’, as well as a set of shots of the walkway that was set up whenever it was set up to support the sequence – and a walker for Scott in certain places.

“We don’t like to use visual effects a lot on the show in terms of creating backgrounds and environments,” Stiller says. “But we needed that shot because the bolt lever takes up all the space.”

The video goes on to explain why Stiller did not use a still camera (it would have been “too cumbersome” for the operator to use while keeping up with Mark’s escalating pace), as well as how Scott knew when to shoot a movie. part of the high-intensity scene when asked what flavor of Gatorade he prefers.

“We always felt like we really wanted to start the season off in a way that was exciting and fun, and that gave an indication of where we were going for Season 2,” Stiller says. “(The shot) felt like, ‘Okay, we’re going to show the audience that these are some new things happening.’
