Senator Bernie Sanders, I-VT, calls on the Minister of Health and Humanitarian Services Robert F. Kennedy Junior After many senior officials at the Agency’s Disease Control and Prevention Center.

The Trump administration announced the removal of the director of the Disease Control Center Susan Monares earlier this week, less than a month after its confirmation, after Kennedy’s directives refused to adopt new restrictions on the availability of some vaccines, including approvals for Covid-19 vaccines.

Four of the senior officials of the Disease Control Center resigned in protest after Monares, noting, in part, resigned to the policies of the Qazi Anti -Kennedy. Hundreds of workers at the agency also emerged from the headquarters of the Disease Control Center in Atlanta to support their former colleagues.

In response to the departures, Sanders wrote in an article published in the New York Times that Kennedy “is at risk of the health of the American people now and in the future” and accused the secretary of Monares’s launch because she refused to “work as a rubber character for his dangerous policies.”

“Despite the overwhelming opposition of the medical community, Secretary Kennedy continued a long -term cruciate campaign against vaccines and his call to conspiracy theories that scientific experts have rejected again and again.”

“It is absurd to say this in 2025, but the vaccines are safe and effective,” he added. “This, of course, is not just my opinion. More important, it’s the overwhelming consensus of medical and scientific societies.”

Sanders, a member of the Senate Health Committee, opposed Kennedy’s confirmation earlier this year. The secretary was sworn in in February. The deputy secretary of HHS Jim O’Neil was chosen to be the Acting Director of the Center for Disease Control after the termination of Monares.

The Trump administration defended the overthrow of Monarerez, with the White House press secretary Caroline Levitt “The authority to launch those who are not in line with his mission,” the president says on Thursday.

“President and Secretary Kennedy are committed to restoring confidence, transparency and credibility to the Center for Disease Control by ensuring their leadership and decisions more general, more responsibility, and strengthening our public health system and restoring it to its basic mission of protecting Americans from infectious diseases, and investing in innovation to prevent and detect future threats.”

Sanders earlier this week called for an investigation into the overthrow of Monares, and criticized this step as “reckless” and “dangerous”.

In the foreground, Kennedy “benefited from and building a profession to pay off the lack of confidence in the vaccines,” adding that the secretary now “uses his authority to launch a full war on science, on the public health and the truth itself.”

He also said it would be difficult for the Americans to obtain “life rescue vaccines” with Kennedy’s leadership.

“The risk here is that almost eliminated diseases due to safe and effective vaccines will appear and cause tremendous damage,” Sanders wrote, stressing that the United States needs to be better in another state.

“Minister Kennedy puts the lives of Americans in danger, and he must resign,” Sanders wrote. “In his place, President Trump must listen to doctors and scientists and nominate the Minister of Health and the director of the Center for Disease Control that protects the health and well -being of the American people, and not to carry out serious policies on the basis of conspiracy theories.”
