Rescuers in the United States are scrambling to find dozens of children who have disappeared from a Christian summer camp in Texas during the sudden floods caused by a strong storm, as the number of deaths from the disaster rose to at least 43 people.

On Saturday, officials of the CARE Solid County said the losses included 15 children.

They said that 850 others were rescued from the area, which is located about 137 km (85 miles) northwest of San Antonio.

The destroyed rapidly 26 feet (8 meters) water rose on the Guadalobi River in just 45 minutes of dawn on Friday, washing homes and vehicles. While the National Weather Service (NWS) said that the Flash Emergency state has greatly ended for the Kiir Care County-warning of more heavy rains, while maintaining flood control until 7 pm local time (00:00 GMT on Sunday).

The authorities have not yet said the number of people who lost 27 children from the Mystic camp, a Christian summer camp along a river in Kiir Province, where most of the dead were recovered.

The Lieutenant Ruler in Texas Dan Patrick said that an unknown number of visitors had arrived in the area to celebrate Independence Day by the river.

“We don’t know the number of people who were in tents on the side, in small trailers next to the side, in rented homes next to them,” said in Fox News Live.

Governor Greg Abbott promised that the authorities would be uncompromising and working around the clock to save and restore the victims, adding that the new areas are searched as water declining.

He said: “We will find each of them.”

Dalton Rice, director of the city of Kerville, said that more than 1,000 rescue owners were on the ground to help search and rescue efforts. Helicopters and drones are used, with some people who have been extracted from trees. US Coast Guard aircraft had traveled to help.

“They are looking everywhere,” Rice said, adding that the crews are facing harsh conditions while roaming water rivers, coins and rocks.

Camp Masterc has 700 girls in the time of flood, according to officials. Another girls ‘camp, Heart O’ The Hills, said on his website that the co -owner Jin Rajzdale had died in the flood, but there was no camp as it was between the sessions.

Heidi Chu Castro from Washington, DC, said that rescue workers promised “not to surrender until the last person-either alive or their body is recovered.”

“This may be long given the disastrous extent of these floods. We are talking about an area spread in the hills and with grooves.”

She added that the children in the camps were especially vulnerable to flood water, “which rose by 8 meters (26 feet) in less than an hour, overnight, while they were sleeping.”

Authorities

The floods caught in the middle of the night at the weekend of July, many residents, camp and officials.

The authorities have been increasingly scrutinized whether they had issued appropriate warnings and whether the preparations are sufficient.

Government Emergency Administration officials warned late Thursday that West and Central Texas faced heavy rains and sudden flood threats “during the next two days”, noting NWS expectations before the weekend.

Wallio Nim Kid, director of the Emergency Management Department in Texas, said during a press conference on Friday night, that the weather forecast “did not predict the amount of rain we saw.”

“Many questions are asked about why there is no previous evacuation,” said Zhu Castro of the island. “They knew that there could be rain, they did not know where it would strike, and when it was, it was already disastrous.”

On Saturday morning, US President Donald Trump said that the federal government is working with government and local officials to respond to floods.

Trump wrote on his social platform on the truth platform, adding that the Minister of Internal Security Christie sleep will be on the ground: “Our first respondents on the site do what they do better,” adding that the Minister of Internal Security Christie sleep will be on the ground.

At a press conference alongside Nam on Saturday, the ruler Abbott said that he expands the state’s “disaster declaration” to obtain federal assistance to the provinces affected by the floods.

“We will guarantee that every origin and resource that has been available to the state for every province is a subject of disaster declaration,” he said, adding that Trump “loves Texas” and was “very concerned about all the families affected.”

Naim said that the “moderate” flood watch issued by the day before NWS did not carefully predict the high rains and that the Trump administration was working to upgrade the system.

Rick Spinrad, the former NOAA director in Noaa, said that the administration has reduced thousands of jobs from the Mother Agency in NWS, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, leaving many weather offices.

He said he does not know whether these employees were established in the absence of a prior warning of the Texas extreme floods, but they will inevitably lead to breaking the agency’s ability to provide accurate and timely expectations.

He said, “The people’s ability to prepare for these storms will be at risk. This undoubtedly means that an additional life will be lost and may pray more property.”

The weekend disaster reflects a catastrophic flood for nearly 40 years along the Guadalobi River.

In 1987, a bus and a truck left the church’s flood water camp, and 10 teenagers sank in an attempt to escape, according to the NWS summary of this incident.
