“I played football in high school and was recruited to play football in college. So I have a very competitive nature. When the big moments happen, sometimes everything is quiet,” he recalls. “It was just clarity and calm in that moment. “I knew Hooters already,” Porter continued. “I went to college high school in Florida, where I grew up. There are stadiums named after that restaurant chain and we used to play our fantasy football drafts there. But when the word ‘scandily topless’ came to mind, I started thinking about lingerie. Then the word ‘association’ took me to the laundry, which took me to the French Laundry. This is a Michelin-starred restaurant – And certainly not a trivial place.
