Sarah Mulali became the first expensive woman to lead the Anglican Church

Sarah Mulali was appointed as the new bishop in Canterberry on Friday, becoming the first woman to lead the Church of England in the date of the 1400 -year -old.

Mullali, 63, has worked for the Bishop of London since 2018, and he previously defended many liberal reasons inside the church, including allowing blessings to couples of the same sex in civil partnerships and marriage.

Senior Nursing officials

Mullally is a previous cancer nurse who has worked as a senior nursing staff in England in the early first decade of the twentieth century. It called for the creation of an open and transparent culture in churches that allow difference and disagreement.

“There are large common denominators between nursing and the priest. It is all about people, and sitting with people during the most difficult times in their lives,” she told the magazine.

She was appointed as a priest in 2002 and became one of the first women to be dedicated to a bishop in the Church of England in 2015.

Mali, married and have two children, sitting in the Supreme House of Representatives in Britain and the House of Lords, and spoke about issues that include the cost crisis, health care and social justice.

Gafcon, a group of conservative Anglican churches throughout Africa and Asia, criticized immediately the appointment of Mulloll, saying that she showed that the English arm of the Church “gave up its authority to lead.”

The government said that Mulali will be installed in a service at the Canterbury Cathedral in March 2026.

The Church of England has been without a leader since last November when Justin Welby resigned from the child abuse covering scandal.
