“Sanjeev Sanyal” is wondering

Economist Sanjev Sanyal warned that India is destroying its brightest minds, which is chasing a dream of a failure of 99.9 %.

In a burning criticism during Podcast with Kushal Ludha, Sanyal – a member of the Economic Consultative Council of the Prime Minister and the most -selling author – in the culture exam surrounding civil services in India, described it as “irrational” and “destroyed”.

“Tell me now how many things are at a rate of 99.9 % failure that you advise someone who did not have a very big reward?” He asked, interrogating the logic behind devoting years to an exam with such amazing difficulties.

Sanyal acknowledged that civil services have value, but criticized the youth who became “professional aspiring”. He pointed out that many spend their most productive years in preparation-often over and over again-only to return to empty-handed while their peers rise through the ranks of companies.

He said: “They will return and return the people who were with them, their colleagues in the classroom, at the same time for five years, raised the value chain … They may be the president of their president.”

The economist also did not retract the training industry, as it described it as a “training degree mafia” that benefits from the aspirations of young people by collecting a nearby product. “Imagine the product they sell. It is a product that will fail in 99.9 % of the time,” he said.

Even of the successful 0.1 %, Sanyal argued, the reward is not guaranteed. “The largest part of them will mostly do worldly things … Even successful men will mostly do worldly things.”

Instead, the youth of India have urged their talents to areas with better possibilities and greater impact – communication, sports, writing or art. “If you should aspire to something with a low probability and the height of the returns, then why don’t you do something that will give you a real dangerous reward?”
