Perhaps the biggest reveal from Samsung’s CES press conference last week was another press conference. The hardware giant ended the main event with excitement The company’s next exhibition. The next Samsung Unpacked event is set for January 22 at 10 AM PT.

As with all recent Unpacked events, next week’s big show will be broadcast live through it Samsung websiteAnd so is the company YouTube channel.

Samsung is so excited about the influx of pre-orders ahead of time that pre-event reservations will come with a $50 Samsung Store credit. You can find all the fine print on it here.

The only absolute knockout of the event is the Galaxy S25 line. Since parting ways with CES/MWC over its mobile advertising, the company has developed a twice-yearly cadence of major releases. We get the Galaxy S series around January/February, followed by new foldable devices over the summer.

The line should include three main models: the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, the latter the product of the S line that absorbs the Galaxy Note as the largest and most premium device. As usual, the lead-up to the event was full of leaks, renders and statuses. The latter gives us a general idea of the line’s dimensions, as they are designed according to the specifications provided by Samsung to the manufacturer.

The lion’s share of rumors suggest that the S25 is very similar to its predecessor. The biggest change on the hardware front is the slimmer design. Rumors Published this week Point to the Samsung shave 1 to 2 millimeters from the device’s profile. Another almost confirmed rumor is the inclusion Snapdragon 8 Elite The chip was unveiled by Qualcomm in Hawaii last October. (The usual caveat is that there’s always a bit of difference in processors in international markets. However, here in the US, it’s pretty much a done deal.)

Galaxy AI will, of course, be the focus as Samsung looks to not only position itself as a leader in the category, but also differentiate its offering from the Google Gemini features that will be available across Android devices. Of course, the big AI announcement was last year Research circlea Google feature that launched on the S24 first.

Other possible — but significantly less confirmed — reveals include a successor to the Galaxy Ring wearable and a closer look at Mohan Projectan extended reality headset being jointly developed with Google.
