Ryder CUP 2025: TEAM USA CAPTAIN KEGAN BRADLEY ‘Heartbroken’ but makes the “right choice” by not playing in Bethpage Black | Golf news

Kejan Bradley insists on winning the Rider Cup, the “only thing” that he cares about after he left “sadness” by leaving himself from the choices of his captain to the Black Taj.

Bradley was the first to be the first playing captain in the Rider Cup since Arnold Palmer in 1963, after he won the travelers in June as part of an impressive season in the PGA tour.

The 39 -year -old was absent from one of the six automatic rehabilitation sites, as he ranked eleventh, as Bradley still did not decide whether he would take a double role for the United States of America before the seventh ended in the round championship at the end of the season.

Bradley confirmed that he was elected against being the playing leader when he revealed the choices of his six captain, as Justin Thomas, Colin Moreua, Ben Griffin, Cameroon Young and Patrick Canola and Wissam Burns were chosen to complete the squad of the United States of America.

“This was a really difficult decision,” Bradley admitted at his press conference. “I would like to say that there is a point this year where I was playing, for some time, and all these men climbed in a big way and played their way to this team.

“This is something I really proud of and something I really wanted. But it was a very difficult decision, but a really happy decision. I am really happy with these six players, and I am happy because it has ended.

“I grew up and I wanted to play Ryder cups. I grew up in the side of these men. My heart has broken not to play. I really did it. You are working forever to make these teams, but in the end they were chosen to perform a job.

“I was chosen to be the leader of this team. My final goal was to start this thing was to be the best leader to be. This is how I felt that I could do it. If we got to this point and felt that the team was better with me, I would do that.

“I was going to do everything I thought was the best for this team. I know 100 percent with certainty that this is the right option. These six men, again, play incrediblely along here and made my decision a lot easier.”

She Skti Shevler, JJ Spaun, Xander Schaufle, Rusell Henley, Harris English, and Bryson Dechambeau are the six automatic qualifiers, which were announced after the BMW championship, with the USA squad that contains four survivors and six survivors of defeat Rome 2023.

Speculation has dominated a possible double role in the accumulation of a two -year competition for this year, as Bradley decided that his decision not to play gives the Team Usa team the best chance to restore the cup.

“This entire year was really strange, to be honest,” Bradley explained. “I was really surprised by the attention that this got.

“I never thought about playing even after travelers. Then it was on the table for a while. In the end, I felt really comfortable for men, very comfortable.

“I don’t care if I play, I do not play, as long as we win on Sunday. This is the only thing I care about.”

Will Bradley get another chance for the Rider Cup?

Bradley was part of the Rider Cup’s successive losses in 2012 and 2014 before he was frankly lost in the selection of the captain two years ago, President Donald Trump is among those who publicly encourage him to take over the double role in New York.

The former PGA champion is still hoping for his introduction to the TEAM USA team in the future, with the 2027 competition in Adare Manor in Ireland and the 2029 version in Hazeltine, although this event this year may provide him with the best opportunity for the Ryder Third Cup.

“Perhaps this was my best chance (playing in the Rider Cup), if I was honest, but who knows?

“I really feel at the bottom of my heart, this is the best golf game ever played, with a good amount. So I don’t plan to stop anytime soon. It will be more difficult and more made of these teams, but I will give it a snapshot.”

The only PGA Tour event before the Ryder Cup is the PROCORE Championship in California, which was held from September 11 to 14, where the majority of the American Bradley team is expected to compete.
