Despite the demands of the United States, India may be less prepared to production and braking than Russian oil. India faced similar positions in the past, but surrendered to the demands, as well as losses to itself.

President Donald Trump has expressed his frustration with India’s choice to buy oil from Russia, despite other available sources. “It is unacceptable that India will continue to finance this war by buying oil from Russia.”

Despite the reports that India may stop these imports, Indian officials have confirmed that the current supply arrangements depend on “the price, the degree of raw, stocks, logistics, and other economic factors.”

However, many experts have criticized Trump and the American administration because of its hypocrisy over oil purchases in India, while many, such as Chileani, asked whether India is expected to change its resource every time the West decides that the oil source has decreased with it.

Indian government sources also told Reuters that New Delhi is unlikely to curb the oil deal with Russia due to the demands of the United States.

The Trump administration responded to possible economic measures, including the announcement of a 25 % tariff for all Indian goods. In addition, sanctions may be imposed on persistent defense and energy deals with Russia.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Payette echoed the Trump administration’s frustrations, noting that India was “not a great world representative” because of its important purchases of the punishable Russian oil. He expressed his disappointment at the slow progress of India in commercial talks.
