Russia says it has regained the largest city of Corsak from Ukraine, where the United States is waiting for a fire in response

The Russian forces led to the Ukrainian army removed the largest city in the Russian Kursk region, and officials claimed on Thursday, as American officials sought the Kremlin’s response to a 30 -day ceasefire in the three -year war supported by Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that it had regained the city of Soudha, hours after President Vladimir Putin visited his leaders in Kursk and wore military fatigue, which cannot be verified independently. Ukrainian officials did not make any immediate comment on the claim.

The renewed Russian military batch and Putin’s prominent visit to his forces came when US President Donald Trump presses a diplomatic end of the war. On Tuesday, the United States raised its suspension on March 3 for military aid to Kiev after US and US officials made progress on how to stop fighting during the talks held in Saudi Arabia.

“It is up to Russia now,” Trump said on Wednesday, as his administration is pressuring Moscow to agree to the ceasefire. The US President made a veiled threats to strike Russia with new sanctions if it did not interact with peace efforts.

“We can, but I hope it is not necessary. Certainly, we can press. We can do this with Russia,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Wednesday when asked about possible sanctions.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that American negotiators were on their way to Russia, but it will not comment on Moscow’s view of the ceasefire proposal.

“Before the talks started, and they have not started yet, it would be wrong to talk about it in public places,” he told reporters.

Senior US officials say they hope that Russia’s vision stops attacks on Ukraine during the next few days.

White House journalist Caroline Levit Fox News told Mike Waltz on Wednesday with his Russian counterpart. He also confirmed that Trump’s private envoy, Steve Witkeov, will go to Moscow for talks with Russian officials, including Putin.

Ukraine launched the raid in an attempt to confront the luminosity news that does not stop it from the confrontation line, in addition to attracting Russian forces away from the battlefield inside Ukraine and gaining a bargaining segment in any peace talks. But the incursion did not significantly change the dynamics of the war.
