The comedian and actor Russell Brand appeared in front of the London Court on Friday on multiple charges of sexual assault, including two rape charges.

Its appearance was 14 minutes in court, and the reconciliation is the first procedural step in a large procedural step while it is likely to be long criminal procedures. It came after a month British prosecutors accused Mr. Brand With one of the rape, one of the mouth rape, two charges of sexual assault and the other of inappropriate assault.

With the start of the short session, Mr. Brand, 49, stood inside a glass box in the courtroom, wore an open shirt to show his chest and hold a pair of golden golden glasses. Mr. Brand confirmed his name, date of birth and British title, then listened, without showing any clear emotion, for the details of the charges.

Suki Dada, the main lawyer for the prosecution, said that a woman accused Mr. Brand of raping her in a hotel room during the British Labor Conference in 1999. Mrs. Daba said another woman accused Mr. Brand of raping her orally in a bathroom booth at a party.

Mrs. Dabba, another woman, accused Mr. Brand of kissing her without agreeing while seizing her breasts and buttocks. The last charge is related to a woman who said that Mr. Brand tried to pull her to a bathroom.

Mr. Brand denied all the charges. In a video posted on social media accounts in April, he said that “he has never participated in a non -high activity” and that he was looking to defend himself in court.

At the end of the session, Paul Goldsbring, the judge, was granted Mr. Brand on bail and then said that the actor was free to go. Thank you, Mr. Brand said slowly.

Then Mr. Brand left the court without speaking to the journalists, hiding in the black Mercedes Benz.

Stewart Nolan of the Association of Law, an organization representing British lawyers in Britain, said the first hearing in a criminal trial is “largely administrative.” Mr. Nolan added that it does not involve any appeals.

On Friday, Judge Goldsbring referred the case to a Supreme Court, called the Crown Court, which deals with more serious charges. The first session of Mr. Brand is scheduled to be held in that court on May 30.

Mr. Nolan said that any trial may only begin “a year from now” due to the accumulation of cases in the judicial system of Britain.

Mr. Brand became a star in Britain in the early first decade of the twentieth century with Stand-Up Hit menu and a TV and radio host. Later, after the period covered by the charges, he achieved fame in the United States, too, when he played the role in films including “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (2008) and “accompanied him to Greek (2010).

In recent years, Mr. Brand has become known as the YouTube plot. Nearly seven million users share his channel, as Mr. Brand published clips on politics and news events such as the war in Ukraine.

Under British law, news outlets cannot identify anyone who is charged with sexual assault unless they choose to give up his right to not reveal his identity. After accusations, strict rules also prevent any information that may escape from the jury in the trial.
