Owen Farrell can return to Sarasins next season as a cover for injury – if he accepts less than it is currently in the 92nd race.

Farrell went to France in 2024 after 16 years in Sarasins, but his opening campaign was marred by a thigh injury and the shape of the bad team, which led to suggestions that were looking to switch to England.

SARRIES is allowed to bring an alternative to Alex Lozowski, which Achilles case is likely to design to Christmas – but the director of the Mark McCall game says that there are obstacles to overcoming it if Farrell will join Premiership.

“We think we are at risk a little at 10,” McCAL, whose team missed the qualifiers for this season, despite his victory over Bath in the final campaign.

“The way the process works is to collect a list of people you think it might be appropriate.

“Owen was not on the list because he signed the race, but there is some noise that may be ready to consider it and may be ready to consider it.

“Two things must happen. One, the race must allow it to leave and they must allow it to leave at a price that the club wants to pay. Secondly, he must accept a lower salary than it is.

“If Owen comes to the list, it looks a good option because of the value for the money he will achieve.

“It is not only about a talent, but rather the ability to think properly in the field. Owen is clear that it is better to do so.”

McCala feels that Farrell will help the Sarrasins youth Fergus Burke and Louie Johnson, adding: “Owen and Louis, in particular, have a very very strong relationship. They speak at least every month.

“Owen is ready to exchange his knowledge and experience with younger players. For our young talents who develop, it may be great that there will be there.”
