On May 19, RTX (NYSE:RTXIt announced that Raytheon had provided the first AN/TPY-2 radar to the American missile defense agency with a full range of Nitrad Galium (GAN).
The missile defense radar will defend the United States and its allies by tracking, detecting and discriminating ballistic missiles. The latest version of the GAN radar will expand the monitoring capacity, provides greater sensitivity to the increase in the range, and the super -sound missile support.
The radar also merges the latest CX6 HD computing program, which will provide e -attack protection and enhance the targeted discrimination.
Sam Denick, head of the Air Defense and Space Systems at RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX), said the following:
“This is the most advanced version of AN/TPY-2 made by Raytheon, as it takes advantage of years of investment and innovation to produce super capacity at a lower cost to the American armed forces. With the increased demand for missile defense for the country, the AN/TPY-2 radar is ready to fulfill the mission.”
RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX) increased by about 19 % on an annual basis, against the backdrop of modern positive developments such as this and many high -value defensive prizes.
