Rory Mcilroy admits that he has a lot of work that must be done before the United States Open next week after losing the reduction in the final event before the third allocate for this year.

The Northern Irish struggled with a new driver while crashing from the Canadian RBC Open after shooting 78 in the second round on Friday, and fell to the worst end in his career in the PGA tour.

Mcilroy finished nine years for the tournament to get 149th place to be absent from his first pieces of the year and the first since the Royal Tron Championship last year.

Mcilroy admitted that he must do a lot of exercises before going to OakMont for The US Open, which starts on June 12, lives on Sky Sports.

“There is still learning that you have to take a day like today,” he said. “Although the last two days did not go the way I wanted, there are still things I can take from.

“I will have to do a lot of practice and a lot of work during the weekend at home, and I try at least to have a better idea than where my game will go next week.”

Mcilroy was forced to change his driver after considering his previous model unaccounted for a random test on the eve of the American PGA championship last month, where the subscriber ended 47.

World No. 2 is still trying to find its rhythm and accuracy outside the starting point and will test many drivers in the few additional days that must be prepared for the United States of Open.

“Yes, he is still looking for the lost piece off the starting point,” I admit. “And when I get this part of the click game, everything is in place for me, but this is now not a concern to go to next week.

“I went back to a 44 -inch driver this week to try to get something that was a little more than control, and I could try to get something more in playing. But if I will miss the corridors, I prefer to get the ball speed and miss the corridor more than that.

“So I was telling me (Diamond, Mcilroy’s Caddy), and the last time, it is clear that this is the second time this year that I tried the new version and did not work for me. So, I say I will test a few drivers during the weekend.”
