Eleven presidential candidates in Romania are competing with voters on Sunday in the first round of the re -elections. Opinion polls were opened at 7 am (0400 GMT) and will be closed at 9 pm (1800 GMT). The Romanian political scene was shaken last year when the Supreme Court canceled the previous elections in which the right -wing Kaleyen Georgustuz topped the right -wing, the first round, in the wake of allegations of electoral violations and Russian intervention, which Moscow denied.
