The Ruben Dias Mids in Manchester City adhered to its future to the club by signing the extension of a new contract for two years.
The previous deal for the 28 -year -old was scheduled to run until 2027, but the new agreement links him to Al -Ittihad stadium until 2029, with an additional option for one year.
Dias joined City from Benfica in 2020 for 65 million pounds and immediately, as he won the award for the best player in the Premier League in his first campaign.
Since then, Portugal has become the cornerstone of Pep Guardiola’s defense, as it raised four league titles in addition to the European Champions League and the European Union Cup over the past five seasons.
“I am very happy today,” Dias said. “I love Manchester – it’s my home now – and I love Manchester City fans.
“When I think about the prizes we won and the way we played our football during my time here, I couldn’t imagine playing anywhere else.”
The city’s football manager Hugo Viana praised the impact of the defender, describing him as “a captain in the dressing room and on the field.”
With Dias’s future securing now, the club is expected to convert its focus into talks with John Stones and Bernardo Silva, who are entering the last year of their current deals.
Ilkai Gondogan and Esrson are also approaching the last 12 months of their contracts, while Rodri, Felden, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Aki remain two years.
In addition, Rico Lewis, the 19 -year -old, is approaching the final status of a new five -year agreement with the Premier League Champions.
