Robin Amorim has revealed that he wanted to be Manchester United coach for the next twenty years.
He is about to take over the Portuguese President responsible for his first full campaign in Old Trafford – he saw his first season in the half of his season to guide the club to fifteenth place and defeat in the European League final.
The pre -season offers left the hope that United is “a completely different aspect” until the recent period, and the 40 -year -old is now supporting himself to get the duration of Sir Alex Ferguson in United.
Speaking before the game of the United Premier League in United with Everton, on the air on Sky SPORTS on Sunday night, Amomem said about his long -term plans in the club: “Yes, I want to stay. I want to stay for 20 years. This is my goal and I really believe.
“Something will happen. In some moments I will be lucky. I had great luck during my career as a manager and my idea is to stay for many years.
“But we know once again that the results will dictate it. I know that last season (up) used all credits but I am ready to start.
“I want to be the manager of Manchester United for a while. It took five years to choose this club so that I do not want to fail.”
In response to a question about his chances of success in United, Amomim replied: “If you looked, Sporting was the same. They said that within three months, I am outside.
“They said I have three percent (chance) to win one title with Sporting. It was the same.”
“I came to the games, knowing that we will fight.”
Amorim revealed that the biggest disappointment last season was attending the games, knowing that his team could not be able to compete.
Fourteen of his Premier League matches in the Premier League ended in the defeat, while he also lost five games of the first seven games in Old Trafford.
He said: “To tell you the truth, not how I went back to my home after the games, but how I left to go to the games. All the conflicts that we have in the games, I feel it before the games.
“This is the most difficult part. To go to games and know that we will not be able to compete. When I came back, I looked at my family and tried to think about different things. But I was really frustrated.”
Anthony, Sancho and more – Amorim on transportation exits
Amorim also dealt with a transmission position in United this summer – focusing on expenses at the present time.
United has already allowed Marcus Rashford to leave to join Barcelona, but the future of Anthony, Alejandro Grancho, Terrell Malassia and Jadoun Sancho are still in the air.
United did not take the Quartet Committee in the Premier League summer round team and gave them more time away from the club during the pre -season to find new clubs.
“We only need to follow the markets,” Amomim said of these four players. “So the market is open. There are players clearly that they do not want to be here and this is normal. They are not bad and I am good. I am not bad and they are good.
“It is a simple situation they want new challenges. So we will try to use this space to prepare the team that I think will be here.
“If the market is closed and then they are Manchester United players, we have to deal with them in the same circumstances. But at this moment I work with the players who I think will remain and try other players to find a solution to their professions.”
Amorim: Garnasho’s talented did not succeed
Amorim was also questioned specifically about Garnacho – which was linked to the transfer to Chelsea and Aston Villa.
United coach believes that the Oscar is still a talented player, but he says that things have not succeeded for the 21 -year -old in Old Trafford.
Amorim said: “You can understand and you can see that he is a truly talented boy and sometimes things do not work,” Amorim said. “You cannot explain what it is specifically.
“But I have a feeling, and I think it is clear that Garnacho wants something different with a different leadership and I can understand it. So I think it is not a problem.
“Sometimes you adapt to one person, you have a connection. At other times, you want a new challenge, so we try to make everything well for all parts. To the club, to the coach and the players. It’s normal in football.”
Amorim also revealed that this summer is important because it wants a smaller team this season – given that United is not in the European competition, so it will not only fight on three fronts.
Amomim said: “I am really happy with the team.” “Without European competitions, I want a small team so that everyone is really important.
“If you have a lot of players, you will face one week to prepare and many players will be outside, then in training they will feel frustrated, then the quality of training decreases.”
