On December 30, Pan took to Instagram to share the news of her serious skiing accident, detailing the severity of the injuries that ultimately led to her sudden death.

“On Christmas Eve, on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on vacation with my family, I had a skiing accident that would change my life,” the Netflix star told her followers. “At the top of the mountain, I caught a limb and face planted. Fortunately I always wore a helmet, which wasn’t too bad at the time, and I was able to ski to the bottom.”

“The last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniectomy with Jett by my side,” Pan added at the time.
