Rescuers help hundreds of hikers, Mount Everest, trapped with thick snow

Beijing – The Chinese media said late on Sunday that rescue workers were helping hundreds of heavy snow hikers in tourist camps on a slope from Mount Everest in Tibet.

State announcer CCTV said that about 350 hikers had reached a meeting point in Tingre Conetre and the rescuers were in contact with another 200. There was no immediate update to the rescue efforts on Monday.
