Your guide to what the second period of Trump means to Washington, business and the world
Senior Republicans ignored the fears that Donald Trump’s historic tax bill risked out of his extraordinary clash with Elon Musk, as the party closes ranks around the American president.
The two men fell dramatically on Thursday after a dispute over the “beautiful draft law” of the president broke out to a comprehensive dispute that some people fear that Scooper can legislate.
But senior Republicans gathered around the president, and insisted that the technology pole has little influence to persuade legislators to leave with Trump.
Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House of Representatives, warned on Friday: “I will tell you what, I do not doubt that, do not guess, and never challenge the President of the United States.”
Musk submitted his speech against the legislation this week, describing it as “disgusting abomination” immediately before Trump’s attack, and called for his isolation, and threatened to start a competitor, indicating that he is linked to a child’s address and extremist Jeffrey Epsin.
Allies of Trump and Musk Urging the husband to Reforming their relations amid fears of expanding the part within the Republican Alliance and the collapse of the relationship between Washington and the Silicon Valley.
But the immediate fear among some in the party is that it would hinder the Trump’s historic draft law.
“This was a plane that is exposed to severe disturbances, as musk launched all his problems with the bill,” said Ron Bonjin, a Republican strategy. “However, he is still flying. He is still moving across the air,” he added. “It is possible that you will continue to the drop -down cycle.”
The legislation, which extends the tax discounts that the president made in 2017 while reducing social programs, has proven controversial. The Financial Control Authority of Congress has to caution It will add 2.4 True to the debts of the United States.
Musk said this week that the draft “obscene filled with pork” will increase the already giant budget deficit. “But Trump answered that the billionaire was bitter that the legislation canceled the tax exemptions of electric cars.
The draft law moved slightly in the House of Representatives last month, but it faces an arduous battle in the Senate, as the financial falcons fell from its price.
Thomas Massi, a Republican in Kentucky, said after the outbreak of the law that the bill was “in support of life” and called for the cancellation of its cancellation.
“If the Senate believes that they will perform and rewrite it, I think they are endangering this patient,” said Massi, one of the few Republican Congress members who suffer from the bill in the House of Representatives after they raised fears of its impact on the deficit.
But the party’s agents said that there was little appetite among legislators to separate with the president.
“The drama may increase, and the process may slow,” said Kane, Spain, the Republican strategic expert. “But in the end, Republicans in Congress will take their signals from Trump and the president, failure is not an option.”
Some said that the dispute will eventually help the draft law be approved by making the members of the Senate uncomfortable in align themselves with the billionaire Tesla owner.
“In fact, Musk is not very popular among most of the members of the Senate, frankly, most members of the administration. The only person I really love is Trump,” said John Phairi, another Republican strategic expert.
“The sum of this is that this will make it easier for Republicans to cross BBB, and not more difficult. Because people gather to Trump and they will not want to see on the same side as Elon Musk.”
Trump asked Congress to pass the bill and send it to his office to be registered in the law by July 4, which some party officials were asked as ambition.
Cleiton Allen, the American director of the Eurasia Consulting Group, said that the initiative is unlikely to affect the timing of traffic.
One of the pressure groups that worked closely with Congress employees said on parts of the legislation that the musk overlap was more than a “side display”.
The pressure groups said: “Some of the largest differences between the House of Representatives and the Senate should still be eliminated, but these members are in members’ talks.”
“Once they all approach an agreement, the only person who can play is closer to the president.”
