“I don’t think about the captaincy or vice-captainship anymore. I just love batting and bowling whenever I get a chance,” Ravindra Jadeja said in the press conference after the end of the second day (as quoted by journalist Vimal Kumar).

Jadeja also made it clear that he wants to play in the 2027 ICC World Cup and revealed that he has already been informed of his omission from the tour of Australia.
The star all-rounder also noted, “Obviously I want to play in the 2027 World Cup. It’s always a call for selection. The good thing is that the selectors and the captain spoke to me and explained the reasons to me. Everyone’s dream is to win the ODI World Cup.”
He has also made adjustments to his mental approach and batting technique, which has improved his performance. Jadeja admitted that cricket is full of turnovers and even though he may eventually be replaced, the game will always move forward.

“The wicket is still very good; we are bowling very well. We will see as quickly as we can get to them and get them back,” Yashavi Jaiswal said in the post-match presentation.
