Marcus Rashford claimed that the Manchester United strategy in the years that followed the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson was “reactionary”, and sometimes left the club in “No Land Man”.
The England striker, who joined the United Academy at the age of seven, left Trafford in January last season to join Aston Villa on loan.
This summer, completed another temporary step, and joined the Spanish champions Barcelona for the 2025-26 campaign.

When asked if the team’s retreat was personal painful, Rashford replied: “Yes, 100 %. But not only as a player, just as a United fan.”
The 27 -year -old also referred to Liverpool’s decision to stand beside Juergen Klopp during his early seasons, before the German occupied the first league title for the club in 30 years and the Sixth European Cup.
“So when Liverpool passed this (the transitional period), they got Klopp, and commented with him. They did not win at the beginning. Right. Do you know what I mean?” Rashford said.
“People only remember the past few years when he was competing with (Manchester) and winning the largest prizes. He certainly did not win for three years.
“Therefore, it seems to start a transition, you have to put a plan and stick to it. So this is the thing I feel. It is not easy. Because if it is not good, the fans are asking.”
