Additionally, Vaibhav made history as the youngest player ever to be selected in the Indian Premier League at the age of 13 years. He finished the 2025 IPL season with 252 runs at an impressive strike rate of 206.55.

Meanwhile, the Bihar cricket team is looking to bounce back after a difficult 2024-25 Ranji season. The team failed to win any match in seven matches last season and was relegated from the first division. Bihar will start the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season against Arunachal Pradesh in Patna on October 15, followed by their second match against Manipur in Nadi on October 25.

BCA hopes that Suryavanshi’s inclusion and leadership will inspire the Bihar team to perform better and make a strong push to return to the elite league. However, he is unlikely to play the entire Ranji season, as he is also scheduled to play in the 2026 ICC Under-19 World Cup.
