Qualcomm has launched a new platform that will make Copilot+ computers accessible to more people. Snapdragon X, the latest addition to the brand Snapdragon X series Which also includes X Elite and XPlusIt comes with Qualcomm’s 8-core Oryon CPU and integrated Adreno GPU. The company says it can run up to 163% faster than similar platforms of its competitors, that its neural processing unit can run AI tasks on the device more efficiently, and that it enables long battery life (up to several days).
There appear to be more than 60 PC models supported by the platform in development and production at several manufacturers already, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo. These companies are expected to launch the first batch of Snapdragon X products early this year, with more than 100 models arriving by 2026.
