Protests against federal immigration enforcement raids and US President Donald Trump’s movement to mobilize the National Guard and Marines in Los Angeles spread throughout the United States and is expected to continue at the weekend.
While many demonstrations against the Immigration and Customs Agency were peaceful, where the demonstrators chanted slogans and pregnancy signs, others have led to clashes with the police, hundreds of arrests and the use of chemical irritants to disperse the crowds. In Texas, Republican Governor Greg Abbott posted on social media that an unlimited number of National Guard forces will be deployed “in locations throughout the state to ensure peace and order.”
Activists say they will carry larger demonstrations in the coming days, with the events of “No Kings” throughout the country on Saturday to coincide with the planned Trump military procession in Washington, DC,
The Trump administration said that immigration raids and their deportation would continue regardless.

New York City
The police detained more than 80 people during the protests in Foley Square in the lower Manhattan on Tuesday evening and early Wednesday.
The demonstrators shouted and waved signs that included “Ice OF Of NYC” because they gathered near the Ice facility and federal courts. The police estimated that about 2,500 people participated. Some demonstrators jumped over the metal barricades and clashed with the officers who wrestled with them on the ground. The video shows demonstrators who throw elements in law enforcement vehicles.
Police Commissioner Jessica Tish said that most of the demonstrators were peaceful and that a few of them caused the disturbance that requires police intervention.
“We want to maintain the right of everyone to protest peacefully in this city and in this country, but we will not tolerate chaos, turmoil or violence,” said Tish on Wednesday morning.
Police said they took 86 people in the reservation, including 52, who were released with the criminal court summonses for minor crimes and 34 who directed to the attack, resisting arrest and other crimes.
San Antonio
More than 400 people gathered outside the city hall on Wednesday evening to obtain an ice control demonstration, according to the local authorities. The protest was largely peaceful, as many music detonated and some distributed water. The nearby streets were closed, as law enforcement officers watched hundreds of feet.
Dozens of Historic Alamo mission walked there after the police closed the area before the protest began. San Antonio police chief William McManos encouraged the peaceful demonstration, but he said that his officers would respond if he “turns into violence.”
Officers at the Ministry of Public Safety in Texas said that the National Guard in Texas was present in the protest. The members did not see the law enforcement officers in front of a small crowd of demonstrators.
Republican governor, Greg Abbott, refused to determine the number of soldiers who will be sent or how to be deployed in “strategic sites where they can provide a stronger response”. He did not say whether he or the president mobilized them.
“There are others outside this room who want to know that. I will not tell them,” Abbott said. “We want to make sure that what happened in California does not happen in Texas.”

San Francisco
About 200 protesters gathered outside the San Francisco Immigration Court on Tuesday after activists said that many people had been arrested there.
The protests in the city swallowed several thousand demonstrators on Sunday and Monday, and more than 150 people were arrested after some low buildings, damaged cars, police and bus vehicles. Police said two officers suffered from lifeless injuries.
Seattle
Hundreds of demonstrators walked through the city center on Wednesday evening to a federal building where immigration issues are heard, where some people withdrew the garbage nearby and set fire to it.
The building is covered in the walls, with “canceling the ice now” written in large letters across its front window. Some demonstrators move electric bicycles and cones to prevent their entrance.

Chicago
Police said 17 people were arrested in protest against the jamming Plaza in the city center and took over the streets surrounding Tuesday evening.

The curfew will run from Wednesday at 9:30 pm until 5 am on Thursday, according to a statement issued by the city. The curfew does not apply to law enforcement, emergency personnel, the media, people who leave football in a local sports facility, residents who live in the region and people traveling to work.
Several demonstrators were arrested outside the ice building, KXly TV said.
