New York (Reuters) -Enterprise Products Partners said on Wednesday that it was responding to crude oil leakage from the company’s oil station in southeast Houston.

Four sources said that crude oil flows are flowing on the sea pipeline, which runs from Kushing, Oklahoma, to the Fribport area, Texas, and connects to the Houston (Echo) station, early on Wednesday. Three sources said that part of the pipeline had fallen on Tuesday night.

The institution said that the reason for the release was under investigation, adding that there was no effect outside the site, fire or injuries from oil leakage.

The company said in a statement that Enterprise activated the emergency response plan and started cleaning, adding that it was coordinating with the organizational authorities to address the leakage and resume regular operations.

A trading source said that the price of West Texas Mediterranean crude in East Houston, called Meh, rose to up to 35 cents to about $ 1.30 to WTI in Cushing early Wednesday. Echo station is a physical connection point for crude oil in Houston.

It was circulated about 90 cents on the closing market on Wednesday.

Echo also provides crude oil storage for clients with major refineries along the Gulf of Texas coast and has contacts with marine stations that in turn provide local and international refineries.

The Seaway pipeline is a joint venture between 50-50 between Enterprise, which runs the line, and Enbridge in Canada. Enbridge asked questions about Seaway operations to Enterprise.

Two sources said that it is expected to restore operations on the pipeline later on Wednesday.
