Prince Andrew seen as ‘pure poison’ as Duke insults monarchy: experts

Scandal-prone Prince Andrew strikes again.

A Chinese businessman has been banned from entering the UK over fears he is establishing ties with the disgraced Duke of York in an alleged attempt to influence British elites on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party. The man, identified Monday as Yang Tingbo, said he was not involved in espionage and had not “done anything wrong or illegal.”

Following the scandal, it was reported that Andrew and his family would not be joining the royal family for Christmas at Sandringham.

British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital: “This year has been hell for King Charles as he suffers from ill health.”

She noted that Christmas was supposed to be a time of reflection for the 76-year-old monarch, but it was “overshadowed by another Andrew problem.”

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson told Fox News Digital: “We do not speak for the Duke of York.” A spokesman for Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

“Prince Andrew has brought disgrace to the royal family, which angers his brother the king, who he believes views his brother as ‘naive at best, lowly at worst.’ British royal family expert Hilary Fordwich He told Fox News Digital.

More recently, Charles has tried to persuade his brother to cut back on expenses by leaving his sprawling royal estate and moving to the smaller Frogmore Cottage, which is located within the security perimeter of Windsor Castle. But Andrew remains hidden at the 30-room Royal Lodge.

“I feel like the king is very frustrated with his brother,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital, noting that Andrew is “pure poison for those who want the monarchy to be taken seriously.”

Fitzwilliams said: “Attention has now turned to the lunch Charles served his extended family at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.” “If Andrew was photographed entering the royal residence, it would be outrageous and would cast a shadow over the occasion.”

Andrew said nothing sensitive was ever discussed and that he stopped contacting the Chinese businessman as soon as concerns arose. However, many in the UK feel that the King needs to take a more aggressive approach to prevent Andrew from embroiling himself in the scandal.

As such, big brother King Charles must ensure that Prince Andrew is not seen with the royal family in public.”

Royal expert Ian Pelham-Turner claimed to Fox News Digital that Andrew was trying to keep a low profile as the Chinese spying scandal continues to make headlines.

Despite Andrew’s constant royal hiccups, To Di For Daily host Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital that the king will never forget the promise he made to his mother.

In 2019, Andrew announced that he would step down from royal duties “for the foreseeable future.” In his statement, he described his association with Epstein as “a major disruption to my family’s business.”

In 2021, one of Epstein’s victims alleged that the prince had sex with her when she was underage. Andrew denied the allegations but eventually settled the case for an undisclosed amount.

A statement indicated that Andrew would make a “large donation” to a charity concerned with victims’ rights. British newspapers reported that the settlement amounts ranged between $6 million and $16 million.

It remains unclear how the king will address Andrew’s new problem. Chard said the solution is simple.

“The whole family knows that Andrew needs to hide,” she said. “A can of worms has been opened, and I imagine there is concern that more scandals may be discovered. The public is demanding more transparency and…simplicity is the way forward.”

“Prince Andrew needs a life coach to help him get back on track,” she said. “It will do him a world of good and help his and his family’s reputation look good in the world. You never know, the disagreements over Prince Andrew might dwindle to a tempest in a teacup.”
